The Workflow Builder in Swipe One is a fully visual, drag-and-drop interface. It provides users with an options to design workflows using Triggers, Conditions, and Actions.

This article explores the components of the Workflow Builder in detail.

Key Components of the Workflow Builder

Following are the key components of the workflow builder in Swipe One.

Drag and Drop Canvas -
The canvas is the workspace where you design your workflow. Using drag-and-drop functionality, you can place Triggers, Conditions, and Actions easily. You can also rearrange nodes to modify the workflow structure.

Triggers -

Triggers are events that start a workflow. These can originate within Swipe One or from connected apps. To add one, simply drag the desired trigger onto the canvas to define the starting point for your workflow.

  • Click on the trigger node to customize it with the options available.

  • Drag the desired trigger onto the canvas to define the starting point for your workflow.

  • Click on the trigger node to customize it with the options available. Below is an example of the Date and Time trigger options

Conditions-

Conditions refine the workflow by adding filters that dictate the flow based on the specified criteria. The filter node allows you to choose conditions based on Contact Properties as well as Event triggers. You can also use more than one condition in the filter based on purpose of the workflow. Every condition results in a Yes or No path, allowing you to branch workflows based on outcomes. Once the filter is in place, connect the Trigger to the Condition node.

Connection Nodes -

The arrows that connect the nodes ensure a seamless flow of data. The connection nodes define the path between triggers, conditions, and actions.

Actions -

Actions are the tasks that are performed as an outcome of the condition. They execute what you want to achieve, such as sending an email or updating contact properties etc.

To add an action simply drag the desired action node to the canvas and connect it to triggers or conditions.

Email Builder -

Fully visual email builder lets you create emails directly within the workflow builder. Within the Workflow Builder, you can create two types of emails:

  1. Simple Emails: These are plain text-based emails, ideal for straightforward, no-frills communication.

  2. Rich Emails: These emails go beyond plain text and include formatting, styling, and interactive elements to enhance engagement.

For a more detailed explanation of these email types and how to use the email editor, please refer to a dedicated article on the topic.

Preview -

The builder allows you to Preview the workflow structure before activation.

Edit any component, ensuring flexibility and ease of use.
