What is a Contact Property
Each column in the table represents a Contact Property, which holds specific information about a contact. These properties are essential for organizing, filtering, and personalizing interactions within Swipe One.
Field Types - Swipe One provides a variety of field types to accommodate diverse data needs:
Text Fields: For storing names, job titles, or other text-based information.
Number Fields: Ideal for capturing phone numbers, order values, or customer IDs.
Email Fields: Validated fields for storing email addresses.
Date Fields: Perfect for tracking birthdays, subscription start dates, or other time-sensitive details.
Dropdown: Predefined options for properties like subscription status or lead priority.
Additional Fields: Specialized fields like URL, Website, Person, Country, and Address add depth and flexibility to your data.
Create, Edit, Delete and Hide Contact Property
In the following steps, you can find information on how to create a new contact property to the table, edit an existing property, delete or hide a contact property.
Create Contact Property
Start by navigating to the "People" section in the menu.
Next, Click on the "Add Contacts" button at the top-right.
Select "+ Create new Contact" from the dropdown.
A new row in the Contacts section will be created, with a prompt to add the name of the contact. Add the name of the contact and press the "Enter" key.
After that, you can find the contact added, select it and double click on the column cell where you would like to fill out the rest of the contact information.
After you type the information in that cell, press the "Enter" key.
In this way, you will be able to fill out the rest of the contact information in all the columns.
Another way to add contacts is by importing them through a CSV file.
Edit Contact Property
Start by navigating to the "People" section in the menu. This is where all your contacts are stored.
Once you're in the "People" section, locate the contact whose property you want to modify. Click on the contact property you wish to edit. These properties could include details like name, email, phone number, etc.
Click on "Edit property" to make changes.
In the edit window, make the necessary updates to the contact property. You can change both the content and the type of the property (e.g., changing the contact's email address or modifying the field type). Once you’ve made the changes, be sure to click "Save property" to apply the edits.
Delete Contact Property
You can also delete the contacts by selecting the desired contact properties. Click on "Delete Property"
If you need to delete a contact property, start by selecting the property you want to remove. Click on "Delete Property"in the dropdown menu. A confirmation box will appear asking you to confirm the deletion. To confirm the deletion, type "DELETE" in the confirmation field. This is a security measure to prevent accidental deletion.
Important Note:
Once a property is deleted, it cannot be undone, so be sure before confirming the action.
Key properties which includes Email and Full Name cannot be deleted from the table
Hide Contact Property
To hide a contact property from view, select the property you wish to hide. Click on "Hide property" in the dropdown. The property will no longer be visible, but it will still exist in the backend.
